Heinrich’s parents were Peter Ludwig Wiech, a workman in Alt Pokrent, and Katharine Sophie Koester. His baptismal sponsors were Franz Jochim Krueger, Jochim Christoph Steinfall of All Pokrent, and Heinrich Nicolaus Koester of Koeltzin (?).

Heinrich emigrated to New York from Hamburg on the Prinz Albert with his 16 year-old son Joachim Wiech on April 5, 1864. He was traveling with Catherine Koch and her sons Johan, 7, Joachim, 5, and Carl, 2.
His name was also given as Weich and Wieg.

I could not find a record of her death before 1864 when her husband emigrated to the US with their 16-year-old son Jochim.

She emigrated from Hamburg to New York on the Prinz Albert, leaving Hamburg on April 5, 1864. She traveled with her sons Johan, age 7, Joachim, age 5, and Carl, age 2. Joachim Heinrich Christoph Wiech, age 40, and his son Joachim, age 16, traveled with her. All were listed as being from Neuendorf.
[The Prinz Albert was the same ship taken by her stepfather, Hans Joachim Ludwig Kohn, and his family from Hamburg to NYC in 1862.]
