In 1850 at the time of the federal census (August 10, 1850), she lived with her parents and siblings in North Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio. Her name was reported as Mary Blazer.

In 1860 he lived with his wife Gertrude and his children Margaret, Joseph, Peter, Nicholas and John in Avon Township, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1870 he lived with his sons Peter, Nicholas and John in Avon.
