She is probably the Mary Minnich in the "Germans in Sheffield" article. Her date of death is from the Ohio cemetery records. According to “Family Record of Joseph Myers” by Lois and Frances Smith, dated August 17, 1969, Anna’s brothers left for the United States and Anna and John joined them after her parents died.
The Schack Web Site gives her birth date as 16 Sep 1814 and her baptismal month as October 1814.
In 1880 she lived with her son Anton and his family in North Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio. Her 10-year-old granddaughter Anna Weber lived with her as well. In 1900 she lived with her daughter Catharine, her son-in-law Joseph Myers, and their family in North Ridgeville. The Joseph Myers family lived close to the family of her son Anton Minnich. The 1900 census indicates that she had had eight children of whom five were living. It gives the year of her immigration as 1852, consistent with the year of immigration listed in the Illerich Family Book for her children Gertrud, Nikolaus, and Margaretha.
