His baptismal sponsors were his uncle Johann Michael Laubach, single man of Villa Sommet, and Anna Barbara, wife of Johann Peter Weber of Greimersburg. Anna Barbara was the sister of Johann Peter Laubach. She married Johann Peter Weber of Greimersburg before 1777, the son of Johann Anton Weber (originally from Wirfus Muehle) and Maria Gertrud Heucher (originally form Villa Beauweiler in Landkern). He died on December 15, 1785. She married Peter Keess, son of Johann Keess and Maria Katharine Herbartz of Klotten, in 1787.
