According to Barbara Riegelsberger, Anton worked with his brother Jodocus (Jodok) as a tailor in Tama, Iowa.
Anton immigrated in about 1865 and became a naturalized United States citizen on February 24, 1874.
In 1870 he lived in Tama, Tama County, Iowa with his wife Anna. He lived next to the home of his brother Jodok. In 1880 he lived in Tama with his wife and children Lucy, Mary (Mamie) and Maggie. In 1900 he lived in Tama with his wife and children. In 1910 and 1920 he and his wife lived in Tama.
