Anna and her sister Elizabeth and Elizabeth’s daughter Catharine are recorded on page 403 on the New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957, Roll 270. They arrived in New York, New York on August 22, 1866 on the ship “Bremen,” having departed from Bremen, Germany.
In 1870 Anna lived in Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio, working as a domestic for the Joshua Boynton family. The 1880, 1900 and 1910 federal censuses reported that she was a housekeeper living in the residences of and working for the following Catholic priests:
1880—Fr. John B. Young in Defiance, Defiance County, Ohio;
1900—a Catholic priest from France in Sheffield, Lorain County;
1910—Fr. George J. Vogt in Randolph, Portage County, Ohio.
In 1920 she lived in the St. Francis Home in Clinton, Seneca County, Ohio.
