In 1930 and 1940 he and his wife and children lived in Pittsfield, Lorain County, Ohio. His daughter Anna and her husband Clyde Jones lived with them. His brother Thomas, his mother Anna, and his uncle Harry Rogers lived next door.
According to the 1930 census, he was married the first time when he was 24--in about 1902. However, the 1910 census lists him as single.
