Notes for Nikolaus Jungclas
His baptismal sponsors were Nikolaus Jungclas and Maria Katharine Jungclas, both from Illerich. Nikolaus could have been
1) the son of Jakob Jungclas and Apollonia Kraemer who was born in 1752 and who would marry Anna Maria (Margaretha) Claus, daughter of Georg Claus and Maria Moentenich, in 1788. His future wife was the first cousin of the child being baptized.
2) the husband of Katharine Fuhrmann of Illerich who married her in 1765.
3) another Nikolaus Jungclas whose baptismal register no longer exists.
Maria Katharine Jungclas was Maria Katharine Puenger, daughter of Johann Puenger and Christine Muennich who was born in 1730. She married Franz Jungclas in 1754, the son of Johann Jungclas and Anna Katharine Poer who was born in 1729.

When Anna Sophie married Nikolaus’ brother Matthias in 1801, the wedding reocrd said that her late husband Nikolaus had been the villicus (overseer) of Neuhof.
Notes for Anna Sophie (Spouse 1)
