Notes for Lucie Pitsch
Source of her years of marriage and death: “Sevenich bei Muenstermaifeld” by Hans Bossier.
Source of the remaining information: Records of St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld.
Her baptismal sponsors were Caspar Nell of Metternich and Lucie, the wife of Johann Georg Wolff of Rueber.
Bossier gives Lucie’s birth year as 1752. However there is no Lucie Pitsch in the church records for Kuettig from 1752. Because there were only a couple of Pitsch families in Kuettig at this time, the Lucia Pietsch who married Wilhelm Sevenich appears to have been the one born to Johann Anton Pitsch and Lucie Bartz in 1753. Johann Anton Ackermann of Sevenich witnessed Lucie’s wedding in 1783.
Notes for Wilhelm (Spouse 1)
Source of the names of his parents, the year of his death, and his occupation: “Sevenich bei Muenstermaifeld in alter Zeit--Beitraege zur Genealogie der Maifelder Bauerngeschlechter” by Hans Bossier, in “Die Maifelder ACKERMANN-Familie.” According to Bossier, after the French invasion Wilhelm’s neighbor Franz Georg Severus Weckbecker bought the property managed by Wilhelm, maintaining Wilhelm as the leaseholder.
Source of the other information: Records of St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld.
His baptismal sponsors were Wilhelm Sevenich of Pillig, [possibly his mother’s brother], and [his father’s sister] Maria Theresia, the daughter of the late Johann Sevenich [and Maria Katharine Brachtendorf] of Sevenich.
