His baptismal sponsors were a single man, [his father’s nephew] Anton Sevenich from Sevenich, and Adam Port’s widow Maria [Lucie Sevenich] from Gierschnach.
It is possible that his name was actually Anton. If that was not the case, he may have been the Johann Sevenich who married Dorothea Sevenich in 1742, rather than his brother who may have died before 1705. There are no young children listed in the death records for the period from 1700 through 1705.
