At the time of his son Hans Jochim Ludwig’s wedding in 1837, he was described as a day laborer from Ganzow. This was also true when Hans Jochim Ludwig remarried in 1858.
Many of the Koehn relatives and ancestors were part of the parish of St. Jacob and St. Dionysius Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gadebusch. Few if any were residents of Gadebusch.
