Notes for Gottfried Einig
Gottfried’s parents were Adam Einig and Anna Margarete Limbert (Source: Klaus Einig). Gottfried and his wife Anna Maria immigrated to America, arriving in New York City on Sept. 25, 1858 on the ship “Plymouth Rock.” They lived near Elyria, Ohio and then settled at North Dorr, Allegan County, Michigan about 1859. His farm was in Byron Center, Michigan.
