In 1910 he and his wife Emma and son Lawrence lived in Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio next door to his parents’ home. At the time he registered for the draft for World War I on September 21, 1918, he was married to Ruth. He was drafted in October of 1918 but his service was delayed because of Spanish Flu in the Army camps.
In 1930 he and his wife and two sons lived in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
He and his wife Ruth resided in Parma, Cuyahoga County. He died in a nursing home in Amherst, Lorain County.
