Various sources give his birthplace as Lorain, Lorain County, Ohio and as West View, Olmsted Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. His parents and their family lived in Olmsted Township in 1900, five years after he was born.
In 1920 he and his wife and children lived in Elyria, Lorain County near the homes of her parents and brother Nicholas. In 1930 his family lived in Elyria. In 1940 he and his wife and children lived in Pittsfield, Lorain County; his wife’s parents lived with them.
Later he resided in Amherst, Lorain County and died in a hospital in Lorain.
