Notes for Raymond A. Diederich
Source: www.dickenfuneralhome.com obituary for Raymond A. Diederich; and www.zoominfo.com.
Raymond and Olga Gertrude were fourth cousins. Johann Diederich and Susanna Haerig were their ggg grandparents.
He served with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1950 to 1952.
He and his sister Loyola Diederich were named the North Ridgeville citizens of the year in 2001 at the annual Corn Festival.
Notes for Olga Gertrud (Pitts) (Spouse 1)
Source: Rich O’Keefe.
Her birth parents were Charles John Pitts (1884-1950) and Olga M. Sheak (1905-1935). Olga died when Olga Gertrud was born.
She was a foster child, the granddaughter of Emma Myers Pitts, and was later adopted by Genevieve Diederich and Walter M. Smith. Emma Myers Pitts was the sister of Joseph Myers, aunt of Clara Myers, and great aunt of Walter Smith. Thus Olga was Walter Smith’s second cousin.
