In 1930 he lived in Carlisle, Lorain County, Ohio with his wife, two sons, a daughter, and his wife’s nephew Kenneth Maringer. In 1940 he lived in Carlisle with his wife and son John L. Diedrick, as well as two of his wife’s nephews (or great-nephews). His brother Carl John and his family lived next door.
He resided in LaGrange Township, Lorain County and died in Elyria, Lorain County.
