Based on the baptismal sponsors of her children, Margaretha was probably the daughter of Nikolaus Gilles and Sophie Muennich who lived in Villa Beauweiler in Landkern.
She may have been a baptismal sponsor in 1750 for Johann Anton Heucher, son of Matthias Heucher and Gertrud Knoeper of Landkern.
A baptismal sponsor for her granddaughter Sophie Schnitzler in 1793 in Landkern was Sophie Kraemer, granddaughter of Nikolaus Gilles and Sophie Muennich and daughter of Lucie Gilles.

One of Johann’s and Margaretha’s children died on May 16, 1751. This may have been Anton who was born on March 6, 1750 or another child. The first Anton almost certainly died before June 1757 when another son was named Anton.
