Her baptismal sponsors were Balthasar Martin and Gertrud Lauxen, both of Landkern. Balthasar Martin was married to Maria Schnitzler, first cousin twice removed of the child. Given the child’s full name, Gertrud Lauxen was probably Katharine Gertrud May who married Johann Peter Lauxen, the uncle of the child, in 1780 in Landkern.
