Leonard Ackermann and Margarete Sevenich were first cousins once removed. Gangolf Sevenich and his wife were his grandparents and her great grandparents.
Leonard was a baptismal sponsor in 1663 for Leonard, the son of his brother Jacob Ackermann and Maria of Metternich; in 1686 for Leonard, the son of his wife’s sister Maria Lucie Sevenich and Adam Port of Gierschnach; and in 1698 for his granddaughter Anna Maria, the daughter of Johann Puelicher and Anna Maria Ackermann of Muenstermaifeld.
In 1674 when his son Nikolaus was baptized, his parents were described as villici (managers) in Sevenich.

Notes for Maria (Spouse 2)

In “Sevenich bei Muenstermaifeld,” Bossier indicates that Maria was from Keldung rather than Mertloch.
The year of her wedding is based on the fact that she was listed as Leonhard Ackermann’s wife when she was a baptismal sponsor in September of 1676.
Maria was a baptismal sponsor in 1672 for Maria, the daughter of Johann Knodt and Maria of Keldung; in 1676 for Martin, the son of Johann Oster and Maria Doetsch of Muenstermaifeld; In 1678 for her husband’s niece Maria, the daughter of Peter Ackermann and Margarete Kindt of Pillig; in 1680 for Johann, the son of [her husband’s niece] Anna Maria Ackermann and Nikolaus Sevenich of Sevenich; in 1681 for Maria, the daughter of her husband’s sister Anna Maria Ackermann and Anton Suesterhenn of Metternich; in 1684 for Maria, the daughter of Jodocus Einig and Gertrud Braun of Hof Feils, Metternich; and in 1713 for Cornelius, the son of Anton Sevenich and Maria Magdalene Puelicher of Muenstermaifeld.
She may have been a baptismal sponsor in April of 1711 for Karol Cornelius, the son of her stepdaughter Anna Maria Ackermann and Johann Puelicher of Muenstermaifeld. The baptismal sponsor was listed as “Maria Ackermann widow.”
Her daughters Margarete and Maria Margarete Ackermann married brothers Matthias and Anton Koehn of Metternich.
