She immigrated in 1872. In 1880 she lived in Sheffield Township, Lorain County, Ohio with her parents, her brothers John and Peter, and her five-year-old child John.
In 1900 she lived with her husband Joseph Kane and their children William, Henry, Frank, and Margaret in Brownhelm, Lorain County. The 1900 census reported that she had had five children of whom four were living. In 1930 she lived with her daughter Margaret, Margaret’s husband William Lange, and their three daughters in Amherst, Lorain Count.
Although her tombstone is inscribed with 1941 as her year of death, the Hayes Obituary Index gives her date of death as January 12, 1942.
