He immigrated in 1854 or 1855 and became a naturalized citizen.
In 1860 Peter lived in North Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio with his parents and sisters Barbara and Annette (?). The census reported that he was born in Ohio. His age was transcribed as three.
In 1900 he lived in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio with his wife and eight children on what was probably Hassel Road. He and his wife reported having been married for 18 years.
In 1910 he lived with his wife and six of their children on Hassell Road in Avon. He and his wife reported having been married for 22 years, but that was not correct. In 1920 he and his wife and three of their children lived on Jaycox Road in Avon Lake, Lorain County, Ohio.
