In 1850 he and his wife Anna Maria lived in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio with their son Joseph and his wife’s daughter Theresa Klingshirn, later known as Theresa Islinger. They lived very close to the homes of Michael and Marie Klingshirn, and Joseph and Katharine Klingshirn. In 1870 they lived in Avon, next to the home of their son Joseph and his family.
