She sailed with her parents and brother Matthias from Antwerp, Belgium on the ship “Edward,” arriving in New York, New York on October 25, 1847. She became a naturalized citizen in 1865.
The Wyrwas Web Site gives Nitz, Rheinland-Pfalz as her birthplace.
As of 1900 she had had 14 children of whom 12 were living.

He immigrated in 1846 and became a naturalized citizen in 1851. In 1870 he and his wife and two children lived in Taycheedah Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. His parents lived next door. In 1880 his family lived in Taycheedah and his father lived either with them or next door. In 1900 he lived in Taycheedah with his wife and six of their children. In 1910 he lived with his wife and their sons Michael, Antone, and Louis and daughter Pauline in Taycheedah Township. Their sons Peter and John and their daughter Mary Mand lived nearby with their families. In 1920 he and his wife lived with their son Louis In Taycheedah. A number of Freund families lived nearby.
