In 1935 he and his wife and daughter Coletta lived in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. In 1940 he and his wife and three children lived in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He died as a result of a head-on collision between his car and another automobile about one mile south of Standish, Arenac County, Michigan. His wife died in the same collision.
