Johann Anton Gilles of Villa Beauweiler in Landkern was the son of Nikolaus Gilles and Sophie Muennich. He married Sophie Lauxen, widow of Johann Heucher in 1754, and Anna Heucher, daughter of Johann Heucher and Maria Pauli, in 1761. Anna Heucher was the first cousin of the baby’s father Johann Pauli. Maria Elisabeth Weyler was Maria Elisabeth Claus, daughter of Anton Claus and Maria of Karden. Her stepfather was Nikolaus Pauli; the child’s father Johann Pauli was her half-brother. She married Johann Weyler of Fahrendeierhof in 1747.
