In 1850 he and his wife Anna Katherine and their children lived in Avon Township, Lorain County, Ohio. Two of Anna Katherine’s children, Mathias and John Kreiser, lived with them. They lived close to the farm of John and Maria Anna Kreitzen and their family. In 1860 they lived in Sheffield Township, Lorain County, near the homes of Johann Diederich and John Fenner.
