His baptismal sponsors were [his mother’s brother] Nikolaus Doetsch (of Mertloch) and [Anna] Maria [Froelich], the wife of Johann Heinrich Sevenich [of Muenstermaifeld].
He was a baptismal sponsor in 1695 for Nikolaus, the son of Franz Fuhrmann and Anna Margarete Daum of Gierschnach, and in 1699 for Margarete, the daughter of Johann Hubert Mannebach and Gertrud Zentner of Muenstermaifeld.
Nikolaus Oster was a synodalis in the Catholic church.
