Her baptismal sponsors were Joseph Esch [probably the son of Gangolf Esch and Katharine Marx of Metternich] and Gertrud Orig. Either she or her mother was a baptismal sponsor in 1736 for Peter Joseph, the son of Peter Joseph Deusen and Lucie Marx of Muenstermaifeld, and in 1739 for Gertrud, the daughter of Anton Daum and Anna Goebel of Schrumpf. Gertrud was a baptismal sponsor in 1742 for Gertrud, the daughter of Wilhelm Pitsch and Katharine of Metternich.
There are very few wedding records available for St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld for 1765, the year that Gertrud probably married Peter Esch.
