Notes for Johann Goebel
Source: Records of St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld. Source of his occupation and his date and place of death: Manfred Ruettgers. Ruettgers identified Johann, the husband of Elisabeth Maur, as having been born about 1708 in Mertloch. This provided the connection to the son of Panthaleon Goebel and Gertrud Kloeckner.
His baptismal sonsors were Johann Orig and Katharine [Marx], the wife of Gangolf Esch.
