She was listed in the 1920 federal census living with her widowed father and her sisters in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. In 1930 she lived with her father and his wife, Alexia McDonald and Alexia’s three daughters in Cleveland. The census reported that her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio, but that is incorrect for both of her parents. In January 1940 she lived with her sisters Mildred, Catherine, and Agnes and Agnes’ husband James Crawford in East Cleveland, Cuyahoga County.
