She lived in Amherst, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1910 she and her son, listed as Russell Plato Sherer, lived with her father, mother, brother and three sisters. The 1910 federal census reported that she was married. The 1920 federal census reported that she was divorced. In the last four years of her life she lived in Elyria, Lorain County. Her death certificate gave her full name as Rose M. Plato Sherer. Her tombstone reads “Rose M. Plato.”
She died of cardiovascular renal disease.
