He may have been the Christian Cichy who arrived in New York, New York on the “Idaho” on April 30, 1869. The ship’s register listed that passanger as a 21-year-old laborer from Prussia.
However, since the Christian Cichy who later lived in Columbia, Lorain County, Ohio was born in about 1845 and was naturalized in 1871, the two records seem to be for different people. In 1880 Christian and Frank Cichy were borders with the family of John and Gertrude Klein and the John Cichy and Anna Klein family in Columbia, Lorain County, Ohio.
