She immigrated to the United States with her husband and children in 1861.
The 1900 census reported that she had 11 children of whom five were living. The 1910 census reported she had 10 children of whom six were living.

VIncenz and Anna Maria traveled on the ship “American Eagle” from London to New York City, arriving on June 28, 1861. He became a naturalized citizen. They had 11 children, of whom four were born in the Landkern area.
In 1870, 1880 and 1900 he and his family lived in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1910 Vincenz and Emma lived with their son John and his family in Avon. The 1870 census version of his last name is “Kimber.” He and his family changed their name from Knieper to Knipper.
