A Matthias Olig, age 50, and his wife Maria, age 52, arrived in New York on August 20, 1842 with their chldren Anna Antonio (age 23), Catharine (age 21), and another child whose name and age are obscured on the record. They were on the ship “Navigator” that sailed from Antwerp, Belgium. In 1860 Matthias Olig and his wife Mary (aged 57, born in Germany) lived in Calumet Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. His son Anton Olig and his family lived next door.
In 1870 he lived with his wife Mary and his son Anton and Anton’s family in Calumet Township.
