There were two Anthony Utschigs living in neighboring areas in Wisconsin. One was the son of Albert Utschig. He was born in about 1866 and married Christina Lauer who was born about 1876. The other, Anthony Frank, was the son of Gustav August Utschig. He was born in 1871 and married Christina Rothgery who was born in 1872. Some research, including the Rothgery/Webb site, has confused the two families.
In 1900 he and his wife Christina Rothgery lived in Marshfield Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. They lived near the home of his father and his sister Juliana, her husband Benedict Bittner and their daughters, as well as the home of his wife’s parents and siblings. In June of 1905 they lived in Marshfield with their child Ernest. In April 1910 the federal census reported that Anton and Christina lived in Marshfield Township with their son Anthony E. and their daughter Esther. Their son died later that year.
In 1938 Anthony F. and his wife Christine lived in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County. Their daughter Esther lived with them.
