Her baptismal record said that Maria’s father was a miller at Zettinger Mill. Her wedding announcement said that her father was a resident and miller of Wirfus.
Her brother Peter married her husband’s sister Eva Jungclas. Her brothers Johann and Johann Peter married sisters Elisabeth and Katharine Jungclas who were her husband’s and Eva’s first cousins.
She was a baptismal sponsor for the son, Nikolaus, of Johann Peter Claas and her half-sister Apollonia Goebel of Greimersburg.

His family is in the Illerich Family Book on page 159 (or page 139). He was the brother of Eva Jungclas who married Peter Goebel, his wife’s brother. He was also the first cousin of the sisters Elisabeth and Katharine Jungclas who married his wife’s brothers Johann and Johann Peter Goebel.
Franz Jungclas and Maria Goebel were fourth cousins.
