He was an adult living in Esperhof when he was a baptismal sponsor in 1734 for Maria Elisabeth Gilles, daughter of Johann Anton Gilles and Maria Elisabeth Kayser of Esperhof and in 1737 for Eva Pauli, daughter of Michael Pauli and Anna Schaden of Illerich.
Since there appears to have been only one Muennich family in Esperhof at this time, he was most likely the son of Peter Muennich and Anna Maria. In that case he was the half-brother of Johann Anton Gilles of Esperhof.
