The 1900 census has his birth information as October 1880. If that were true he would not have appeared in the 1880 census that was completed in June of that year.
In 1920 he lived in North Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio with his mother, his brother Mathias and Mathias’s family. In 1930, 1935 and 1940 he lived in North Ridgeville with his wife Barbara and their four children. In 1940 a 63-year-old hired hand named William Schneider lived with them.
