Their son Matthias Jr. and his wife lived adjacent to their home. In 1930 he and his wife lived in North Ridgeville adjacent to the home of their daughter Gertrude, her husband Leo J. Wohleber and their 10 children. In 1940 he and his wife lived in North Ridgeville close to the home of their son Peter, their daughter Irene Hintz and her family.
