Notes for Johann Anton Gilles
Anton Muennich and Gertrud Gilles of Illerich were his baptismal sponsors. Anton Muennich may have been the son of Friedrich Muennich and Anna Katharine Moentenich who was born in Illerich in 1663. Gertrud may have been the widow of Jakob Gilles of Illerich, or Gertrud Pauli, widow of Franz Gilles of Illerich.
In 1710 Johann Anton was a baptismal sponsor for Johann Anton, the son of Peter Doehr and Maria (of Forst?). He was a baptismal sponsor in 1725 for Maria Gertrud, daughter of Johann Michael Muennich (the son of Friedrich Muennich and Anna Katharine Moentenich) and Gertrud Ungers of Illerich.
